The super confident Guyana Amazon Warriors have proved to be the most dominant team of the CPL so far. They currently reign supreme with four wins in four games after emerging victorious in their last fixture against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The Trinbago Knight Riders are perhaps a weaker opponent in front of them, at least if the current form of both the teams is concerned. Another factor that makes the Warriors as the favourite starters tomorrow is the defending champions, despite having a strong line-up they have a failed to put up a combined show.

Guyana Amazon Warriors:

Despite being referred to as the favourites, it won’t be an easy game for the Warriors. Dwayne Smith is still in search of consistency but they would be happy to see Martin Guptill scoring runs in the previous game. Chris Lynn continues to be the backbone of the side and has helped with fiery knocks. The middle order suffered a collapse in the last as the Patriots spinner Badree struck quick blows to them. Jason Mohammad, Chris Barnwell and wicket-keeper Anthony Bramble, who form the core, will have to be cautious as an even more dangerous Sunil Narine will be waiting to make an impact.

The opposition has a potent batting line-up and the bowlers will have to wary about it. But, the spin-heavy attack seems to be in-form and fully capable of curbing the danger. Rising leg-spinner Adam Zampa will be the trump card yet again. V Permaul and Rayad Emrit, after a bleak start to the tournament, have now turned into perfect supporters to Zampa. Off-spinner Stevan Taylor has been a surprise performer.

Probable XI:

Dwayne Smith, Martin Guptill (C), Chris Lynn, Jason Mohammad, Charis Barnwell, Anthony Bramble (WK), Sohail Tanvir, Rayad Emrit, Veeraswamy Permaul, Adam Zampa, Paul Wintz

Trinbago Knight Riders:

The Knight Riders were quite unlucky to lose despite having posted 191 on the scoreboard. Fans will hope for a similar batting performance from Hashim Amla and Brendon McCullum at the top. Colin Munro, who struck a wonderful half-century, adds more firepower to the side. And, along with Bravo brothers – Dwayne Bravo and Darren Bravo in the middle order, the batting line-up looks more superior to their opposition.

Sunil Narine and Kevon Cooper will be the key men with the ball. Skipper Dwayne Bravo will also test the opposition and will play a huge role. The concern will be the rate at which the bowlers leak the run. Javon Searles, Sulieman Benn and Ronsford Beaton will have to be miserly and can leak runs like they did in their last game against the Tallawahs.

Probable XI:

Brendon McCullum, Hashim Amla, Colin Munro, DM Bravo, Umar Akmal (WK), DJ Bravo (C), Kevon Cooper, Sunil Narine, Nikita Miller, Ronford Beaton, Sulieman Benn
