CPL 2018: Match 11, Match Prediction- Who will win the match, Jamaica Tallawahs or Guyana Amazon Warriors?

Jamaica Tallawahs, having won three matches on the trot, have arguably been the most lethal team in this year’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Andre Russell’s team is currently placed on top of the points table and will now have a crack at Guyana Amazon Warriors, captained by Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik. The Warriors started their campaign with back to back in Guyana.

However, Barbados Tridents slapped them with their maiden defeat of the season by 30 runs. Guyana are currently in the third position and are most likely to overtake Trinbago Knight Riders to the second position if they emerge victorious. In the meantime, Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground at Lauderhill, Florida in the United States of America (USA) will host the first match of this season.

Pitch

The track at the venue has been batting-friendly and a low scoring match isn’t expected to take place.  Bangladesh and Windies played in Florida a few days ago and it assisted the batters. However, the pitch also has a lot to offer for the bowlers provided they are ready to bowl their hearts out. Teams are most likely to field first after winning the toss.

Jamaica Tallawahs

The Tallawahs will remain unchanged in all probability. Kennar Lewis and Glenn Phillips are the openers followed by Andre McCarthy. The middle-order is a power-packed one with the likes of Ross Taylor, Rovman Powell and Andre Russell in their ranks. In the bowling department, the spin-twin of Zampa and Imad Wasim have been excellent. The pacers have also been amongst the wickets.

Guyana Amazon Warriors

Albeit they lost against the Tridents, the Warriors may not want to make too many changes too early. Shimron Hetmyer has been their gun batsman thus far and the onus will again be on the left-hander. The experienced campaigners in Ronchi and Malik also need to deliver. The bowlers have been economical, but they will have their task cut out against Jamaica’s in-form batting lineup.
