Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 has been nothing short of amazing moments so far. Chris Gayle scored his 22nd century in the T20 format, while Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Kieron Pollard, and other international stars have been entertaining the fans with their performances. The tournament is very dear to many players, thanks to the lively crowd and support they get from the stands.

Guyana Amazon Warriors are leading the points table with five wins out of five matches and has 10 points to their name. Trinbago Knight Riders meanwhile have 8 points with 4 wins in five encounters. However, the Jamaica Tallawahs are having a nightmare of a tournament with just one win from five matches. Recently, the match between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and the Trinbago Knight Riders saw a fan attain legend status in the stands.

The fan turns legend with his acrobatics

Moments of becoming famous rarely come for people and even if they come, many of them fail to capitalize on them. Only rarely do people rise up and take them while very few do it in a stylish manner. And then there are people like the fan during the match between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and the Trinbago Knight Riders who snatched glory in such an all-encompassing way.

This fan caught a ball on the stands with one hand. The best thing is, not only did he take the catch one-handed; but he took it while power-kneeling and posing for the cameras. Not only he knelled and posed for the cameras, as others noticed, but he also took it while holding two full beers in his other hand and didn’t spill a single drop from either of them. The fan was full of flair and achieved the feat with the style that only some can match.

This one-handed catch may land the fan a full two-month supply of free beer as CPL’s Head of Marketing, Chris Watson had announced before the start of tournament, that any fan who catches a six one-handed at any CPL match will win two months’ supply of beer, and the first to do so in each tournament location will win tickets to the CPL final.
