Cricket is finally coming back into its element with the resumption of International cricket. England, West Indies, Ireland and Pakistan have already featured in completed international matches since the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to its feet. Despite the matches being played behind closed doors and teams travelling in bio-secure bubbles, the enthusiasm of the fans has not gone down.

Along with international cricket, preparations are also being made for conducting various T20 Leagues across the globe. The T20 Leagues have a major earning potential for cricket boards and no one wants to let such an opportunity go to waste. Plans have already been drawn up to conduct IPL, T20 Blast as well as the CPL with the last one to get underway in the month of August.

Over the years, the popularity of CPL has been on the rise and it has garnered fans from across the world. In fact, the owners of IPL franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab also own franchises in the CPL (Trinbago Knight Riders and St. Lucia Zouks). A number of players will be seen featuring for their teams in both IPL and CPL.

Here we will discuss five IPL Stars who will be participating in CPL 2020: –

1. Chris Lynn- St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Australian batsman Chris Lynn has won praise all across the world for his impressive and explosive stroke-play. After being discarded from the Australian international setup, the right-handed batsman has made himself at home in various T20 leagues. He regularly features in IPL, BBL as well as the CPL.

After spending five years with the Kolkata Knight Riders, he was signed up by Mumbai Indians this year and will share the dressing room with players like Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock. In 41 IPL matches, he has scored 1,280 runs with an average of 33.68 and a strike rate of more than 140. With his devil-may-care batting approach and athletic fielding, he can prove to be a valuable asset for any T20 team.

In the current edition of CPL, he will be plying his trade for St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He is set to play under the leadership of former Carribean all-rounder Rayad Emrit and rub shoulders with players like Sohail Tanvir, Ben Dunk and Ish Sodhi.
