CPL 2020: Match 7, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs St Lucia Zouks – Nabi's T20 milestones, Chase's economical spell and more stats

St Lucia Zouks cruised to their second successive win of the CPL 2020 as Mohammad Nabi starred with yet another player of the match effort. A 33-ball 46 from Andre Fletcher saw St Lucia reach 73/0 in only seven overs before they scored 64 runs in the next ten overs. But an unbeaten 22-ball 35 by Nabi helped Zouks finish on 172/6. Nabi later got the wicket of Chris Lynn from where the chase of Patriots never took off. Though the Patriots lost the game by only ten runs, the game was far from being a thriller.

4/33 – Scott Kuggeleijn’s bowling figures of 4/33 are the best by a pace bowler for the St Lucia Zouks. Overall, these are the 4th best CPL figures for St Lucia franchise and the 5th 4-wicket haul recorded for them thus far. Obed McCoy’s 4/41 against Guyana last year is the only other 4-fer recorded by a pacer in the CPL for St Lucia.

3/12 – Roston Chase conceded only 12 runs during the four overs he bowled in this game. These are the 3rd fewest runs conceded in four overs of a CPL match for the St Lucia franchise. Garey Mathurin and Fawad Ahmed had figures of 4-0-11-1 respectively against Tallawahs (in 2013) and Patriots (in 2019).

Nabi @ 4000:

4014 – Mohammad Nabi became the first player from Afghanistan to amass 4000 runs in the Twenty20 format. He achieved this feat after going past the individual score of 21 against the Patriots.

7 – Mohammad Nabi is now only the 7th player to score 4000+ runs and claim 250+ wickets in Twenty20 cricket. Nabi got to this double in 261 matches which are the 4th fewest behind Azhar Mahmood (221), Dwayne Bravo (252) and Shakib Al Hasan (257).

Fletcher @ 3000:

3035 – Andre Fletcher has amassed 3035 runs in the Twenty20 format in the West Indies. He is now only the 2nd player to aggregate over 3000 T20 runs across the Caribbean Islands after Lendl Simmons (3308).

Cottrell’s late sparks:

26* – Sheldon Cottrell’s unbeaten 26 in this match is now the joint 2nd highest individual score in the CPL by a batsman while batting at No.10. Samuel Badree scored an unbeaten 29 off 16 balls while batting at the No.10 position for the Trinidad against Jamaica Tallawahs in 2015 while Rashid Khan also scored an unbeaten 26 earlier this season against the SKN Patriots only.

Emrit only behind Narine:

4 – Rayad Emrit now has bowled four maiden overs in the history of CPL which are joint 2nd most by any player. Sunil Narine leads the list by a long way with 11 maiden overs while Samuel Badree, Sheldon Cottrell, Jason Holder and Mohammad Irfan also bowled four maidens in the CPL.
