Veteran cricketer Shoaib Malik was the cynosure of all eyes in the 5th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The right-hander came out to bat with a fork sticking to his shoe, and that has caught the attention of social media.
Fans were quick to point out the fork that was sticking onto Malik’s shoes. The fork was removed later by Malik. This incident would have left the fans in peals of laughter.

Shoaib Malik produced a poor performance with the willow in the CPL match
However, Shoaib Malik failed to set the stage on fire with the willow in hand. The right-handed batsman scratched his way to a 12-ball 5 and scored his runs at a poor strike rate of just 41.66.
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots thrashed the Guyana Amazon Warriors with 8 wickets to spare in the encounter between the two sides. Batting first, the Guyana Amazon Warriors posted a total of 146/8 on the board, with Chandrapaul Hemraj top-scoring with a 30-ball 39.
Dominic Drakes was the pick of the bowlers for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The left-arm pacer scalped 3 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled, and leaked only 26 runs as well.
In reply, a scintillating opening stand of 113 runs between Devon Thomas and Evin Lewis blew away the Guyana Amazon Warriors outfit. While Thomas scored a sedate 55 off 54 deliveries, Lewis went berserk, scoring a 39-ball 62.
For the Guyana outfit, Naveen-ul-Haq and Imran Tahir scalped a wicket each. The St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots are currently occupying the top place in the points table, having won all the 3 matches that they have played in the tournament thus far.
On the other hand, the Guyana Amazon Warriors are positioned at 4th place in the table, having emerged triumphant in only 1 out of the 3 matches that they have played.
