4. David Warner

David Warner has been a giant in the limited-overs circuit. He has been making heaps of runs for his national side and also in franchise cricket. Apart from his batting prowess, he has a decent resume as far as captaincy goes.

The 35-year-old was instrumental in making Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a successful franchise. Under his reign, SRH won their first and only IPL title in 2016. In the international circuit, the veteran batter was the Australian team’s vice-captain until the ball-tampering fiasco.

Warner is one of the most experienced members in the Australian setup and has considerable experience in leading a side. The southpaw has a strong case to become Australia's next ODI skipper in the build-up to the 50-overs World Cup in 2023.
