In the six matches he played, he accumulated only 68 runs. He struggled with an average of 11.3 and a strike rate of 107.9. He failed to add runs up the order in every match.

Lokesh Rahul, India's star batsman and an almost established opener failed to make a mark in Dubai. A lot of hopes were residing on his shoulders owing to his form this year. As an opening pair, he alongside Rohit Sharma failed to add runs in every game.

In the five matches he played, Rahul scored a total of 132 runs. He averaged 26.4 with a strike rate just over 130. He also got a duck and a fifty in the same season.&nbsp;

His only fifty came in the last match against Afghanistan. His golden duck was against Pakistan in his first match itself. Ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year, Rahul's form is worrisome for the team.

Rishabh Pant, one of the most explosive middle order batsmen for India had the most disappointing season this time. Highly trusted for his big hitting abilities, often gets Pant out of trouble from his inconsistency. This year's Asia Cup was not a platter where he could serve in any way.&nbsp;

Dropped in the first game, the match against Hong Kong did not give him a chance to bat. The second encounter against the arch rivals, Pakistan was crucial for him but he managed to score only 14 off 12 balls. He was heavily criticised for the way he got out at a crucial time.&nbsp;

In the three innings he got to bat, he scored 51. Pant averaged 25.5 with a strike rate of 124.3. Last innings against Afghanistan, he hit three fours to finish.

Indian bowlers struggled in this year's Asia Cup. Avesh Khan was one of the most expensive bowlers for India. Although, he missed a few matches due to illness, the pace bowler had already disappointed.

In the two matches he played, he bagged two wickets. With an economy of 12, he gave away more runs than anyone else. His pace too became a concern for the Indian side.&nbsp;

Avesh's only two victims were Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman and HongKong's Aizaz Khan.&nbsp;He is one of the potential pacers for the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup.

Owing to Bangladesh's consecutive defeats, players did not get enough chance to showcase their full potential. The first two matches were the most important to stay in the tournament but the team collapsed. Shakib Al Hasan has been the most prominent Bangladeshi player.&nbsp;

His mere presence heightens the cricketing spirit of Bangladesh's side. In the only two matches he had played, he scored 35 runs. His average strike rate remained just over 110.&nbsp;
