1. India vs Pakistan- 2014 Asia Cup

In the 2014 Asia Cup, the arch-rivals India and Pakistan locked horns with each other in the sixth match at Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur. This was a must-win game for both teams as they were contesting against each other after losing to Sri Lanka. In the absence of MS Dhoni who sustained a side-strain injury, Virat Kohli was captaining the side. After being invited to bat first, Indian batters struggled against Pakistan bowlers but with half-centuries from Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, and Ravindra Jadeja, they notched 245/8 in 50 overs.

Coming out to chase the competitive total, Pakistan openers looked confident by establishing a partnership of 71 runs in just 11 overs. But then after a few overs, India started dominating the match with spinners R Ashwin and Amit Mishra bagging three crucial wickets of Sharjeel Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, and Umar Akmal.

After losing the top order in quick succession, Mohammad Hafeez and Sohaib Maqsood chipped in with 75 and 38 runs respectively to bring their team back into the match. In the end, with 10 required in the last over, Shahid Afridi smashed two sixes against R Ashwin to take his team home in the big game.
