Suresh Raina was a ferocious striker of the cricket ball and demolished the opposition’s bowling attacks with his flamboyant stroke play. Raina featured in 226 ODIs and amassed 5615 runs at a strike rate of 93.50. He was superb in T20Is too and scored 1605 runs in 78 matches at a strike rate of 134.87.

2010 was a history-making year for Raina. In the 5th match of the T20 World Cup 2010 against South Africa, he smashed a blistering ton, becoming India’s first centurion in T20Is. Then in the second Test of the three-match series against Sri Lanka in July 2010, the former Indian cricketer smashed a sensational century, becoming the first Indian batter to score centuries in all formats.

The southpaw was known for his fearless brand of cricket and racked up a total of seven centuries across formats (five in ODIs, one in T20Is, and one in Tests). The Ghaziabad-born, who made his debut in 2005, announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020.
