After suffering a 2-0 T20I series defeat against Ireland, the Indian team will be eager to bounce back when they take on England in the opening T20I. The Men in Blue struggled in all three departments during the Ireland series, with their batting and team combination coming under scrutiny.

With a much tougher challenge awaiting them against England, the team management could look at a few important changes to improve their chances.

Here are 3 changes India should consider ahead of England T20Is:

3. Better strike rotation in the middle overs

In both of the T20Is against Ireland, there was one clear flaw in India’s batting style. In the first match, the visitors were asked to chase the target of 183 by the hosts, where they lost by 34 runs. Even in the second match, the same thing happened, as the Shreyas Iyer-led side fell short of a seemingly achievable target.

During the middle overs of the chase, their lineup struggled a lot and were not able to rotate the strike, which in turn increased the required run rate of the chase. Only Shivam Dube showed a considerable amount of intent in the middle-overs in both of the matches. If the Indian team wants to improve against England, the middle-order batters have to step up.
