Along with Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim might also bid adieu to the ODI format with the conclusion of the 2023 World Cup. Just a few days ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, the wicketkeeper-batter announced his retirement from T20 Internationals to focus on ODIs and Tests. 

Since 2006, Rahim is providing services to his nation with his wicketkeeping and batting. For a long period, he also served his team as captain in all three forms of the game. In his 17-year ODI career, the Bangla veteran has delivered a great many cheerful moments to his team’s supporters.

Talking about his record in ODI World Cups, the dasher has appeared in four World Cup editions from 2007-19 and is also the second-highest run-scorer for Bangladesh with 877 runs in 29 matches at a strike rate of 79.43. In the upcoming World Cup installment, his team will heavily count on Rahim’s batting as he is the second-highest run-scorer for his team in ODIs with 7187 runs in 248 matches at a strike rate of 79.71.
