2. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has been one of those players who made heads turn every time he has stepped into the cricket field. On many occasions, he has tormented bowlers with his marauding bat and changed the course of the game in the favour of his side. Also, the 34-year-old has been superb with the ball and strangled batters with his impeccable line and length.
Jadeja has featured in 214 IPL matches and notched up 2531 runs at a strike rate of 127.57. On the bowling front, he has taken 138 wickets at an economy of 7.58. When the CSK franchise was looking for a potential successor for MS Dhoni leading into IPL 2022, their eyes fell on the star Indian all-rounder.
After taking up the mantle from Dhoni, the southpaw gave his best in leading the side well but it wasn't meant to be as they lost six out of eight games in the season under his leadership. Jadeja's torrid run was brought to an end when the team management was forced to ask Dhoni to lead again.
But, provided Dhoni misses out on the upcoming clash against RCB due to his ongoing knee issue, the franchise may not look beyond Jadeja as the all-rounder has been a leadership figure in the side and can arguably be an ideal replacement for the 41-year-old.
