In the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Dubai, illustrious players such as Mitchell Starc, Daryl Mitchell, Harshal Patel, and Alzarri Joseph got big bucks but witnessing the cricketing action in the tournament, so far, it’s been seen that these huge names are struggling to justify their price tags.
On one hand, star players are failing to play as per their reputation while on the other hand, some names who got snapped up for their base prices in the business extravaganza are doing their jobs exceptionally in this competition. Talking about some of them, here are five players who were sold at their base amount in the auction but have performed fabulously for their respective sides.

5. Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was picked up for his basic amount of INR 20 lakh by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2024 auction in Dubai. The 18-year-old has put up decent numbers for KKR, scoring 78 runs in two innings of three matches at a strike rate of 173.33.
Against Delhi Capitals (DC), he played a stupendous 54-run knock off 27 deliveries and made his debut innings in the league memorable. Noting his batting numbers thus far, the KKR team management will expect him to be at his best in further contests.
