The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play their penultimate game of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) when they take on the Rajasthan Royals in Match 64 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday, May 19.
LSG have had a campaign to forget, being stuck at the foot of the standings for the majority of the season. Rishabh Pant’s side, however, have found some late-IPL form, winning two out of their last three matches, defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings in the process.
The arrival of Josh Inglis in combination with Mitchell Marsh’s outstanding run of form have transformed LSG’s fortunes. A win against RR could also finally see them move up to ninth in the standings and end the season on a high to build some crucial momentum for 2027.
Here is LSG’s strongest predicted XI vs RR, Match 64, IPL 2026:
Top Order: Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran
As has been the case in recent matches, LSG are expected to open their batting with Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis, with the latter coming off the substitute bench. Marsh is currently his side’s leading run-scorer this season with 467 at a strike-rate of 162.15. Inglis, on the other hand, has already scored 134 runs from three innings, whilst striking at more than 190.
Nicholas Pooran’s poor form has been one of the reasons behind LSG’s position in IPL 2026. However, he has shown glimpses of his destructive self in recent matches.
