4. Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is arguably the greatest Bangladesh player of all time. Be it with the bat or with the ball, the all-rounder has time and again proved his ability in the shortest format of the game.

Even after his recent poor run of form, the team management appointed him as the captain of the side and that proves the amount of calibre he possesses. He also is the second-best all-rounder in the world as per the ICC Men’s T20I All-rounder rankings.

In the 101 T20I matches that Shakib played, he scored 2045 runs at a strike rate of 120.72. The 35-year-old also picked up 122 wickets at an economy of 6.67. He is very economical in a format that often sees bowlers going for a lot of runs. Shakib can bowl in the powerplay as well and that’s a massive plus point from a team's point of view.

Again it’s not age or fitness, like Nabi, Shakib might also leave his spot for the youngsters to come in and take Bangladesh cricket forward. He plays a lot of franchise cricket and post his retirement from T20 internationals, he can very well continue with that. However, when it comes to ODI cricket, he will definitely eye to do well for Bangladesh in the 2023 World Cup.
