Dasun Shanaka scored the fastest century in CPL history off 39 deliveries, playing for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots against the Saint Lucia Kings on September 3, 2026, at Warner Park. The Sri Lankan all-rounder finished on 121 not out off 43 deliveries, hitting 12 sixes and 8 boundaries.

Shanaka's innings helped the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots post 235/4 in 20 overs, and they won the match by 137 runs. The 34-year-old, who has represented Sri Lanka in 6 Tests, 71 ODIs and 131 T20Is, broke the previous CPL record of 40 balls that had been jointly held by Russell, Seifert and Hetmyer.
