1. Dawid Malan
Dawid Malan is a renowned name in international cricket for his aggressive batting style. He has played a lot of match-winning knocks for England. Due to his amazing T20I numbers, the English cricket team gave him a chance to play in a couple of T20 World Cups too. For the mini-auction 2023, he registered his name again after facing a snub in the 2022 mega-auction.
This time too, his basic price was INR 1.5 crore but again he failed to convince any franchises to bid for him. With more than five years of international experience and fine T20I numbers, he was expected to be a huge name at the event. The 35-year-old has scored 1,748 runs in 55 T20Is, at a strike rate of 135.71.
He has immense experience in league cricket too but the fact couldn’t help him to get hired by the franchises in the couple of cash-rich league auctions. In 2021, he was a part of Punjab Kings, but the franchise gave him only one game. Playing against Delhi Capitals, he scored only 26 runs off 26 deliveries.
