Virat Kohli has been on a record-breaking spree for quite a few time now. With each passing day, Virat is just getting ‘Virat’ (big) in the international scene. Much like the previous years, Kohli dominated the batting charts in 2018 as well. Besides, he had a decent run as an Indian captain too.

He has captained India in 12 Tests, 14 ODIs, and 10 T20Is in the year 2018. Being a part of 36 games, the Indian captain has garnered 2653 runs at a scintillating average of 69.81. He has also smashed 11 centuries and eight fifties this year. At 2653, he happens to be the highest run-scorer this year. Moreover, with 11 centuries, he is the only player to go past the double-digit mark this year. Thus, Kohli auto-selects himself in this playing XI.

In addition to that, he has had a decent year as well while donning the captaincy cap for India. Being the captain of the ship on 36 occasions, Virat has been triumphant 20 times with 14 losses, and one game resulted in a tie and one was washed out due to rain. With this, he enjoys a win percentage of 55.55. Hence, with decent captaincy record, he will also be captaining this side.
