Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain, has been one of the best players that the country has ever produced. With a calm head, Williamson happens to be a rare commodity who can play pace and spin with equal ease. Moreover, when it comes to switching between formats, Kane is among the best in the business. The year 2018 had been on the same lines for him.

Having played 29 games this year, the NZ captain amassed 1320 runs at an average of 44.00. He also accounts for four centuries and six fifties in the year 2018. With 1320 runs by his side, Williamson also transpires to be the highest run-getter for New Zealand in the calendar year 2018.

Although his numbers are substantially low from the other batsmen, it is worthy to note that he hasn’t played as many matches as the other batsmen have played in the year 2018. Thus, with immense consistency up his sleeve, Kane will form the kernel of the middle-order in this XI.
