BIG BREAKING: Haris Rauf will not bowl further!

Haris Rauf will not be bowling any further in the Asia Cup Super 4 match against India as a precautionary measure. He felt a little discomfort in his right flank during the match yesterday. MRI revealed no tear.

Rain played a massive part as the match between Pakistan (PAK) and India (IND) was called when these two teams met earlier in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. As things stand, the weather is improving in Colombo but rain is slated to play its part during the game. Hence, the Pakistan Cricket Board along with the Asian Cricket Council have decided to allot a reserve day in case the match fails to find a conclusion on September 10.

Both sets of players were left frustrated on September 2 when the umpires had to take a hard decision of calling off the game in Pallekele. There were multiple reports that ACC was planning to shift the Super Four matches and the final to Hambantota but nothing materialized as the management has kept their faith in Colombo.

Meanwhile, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in the Super 4 already and a win can take them close to the final. India, on the other hand, defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in their last league game to secure their place in the Super Four. KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah are expected to make their return in the match and that is likely to boost their confidence before taking on their arch-rivals.
