151The defending champions and the IPL 2023 final hosts, Gujarat Titans (GT) are all set to lock horns with the five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. Notably, the grand finale got pushed to Reserve Day (Monday, May 29) after the weather played possums on Sunday. The game was earlier slated to be played on May 28, but the heavy downpour did not allow any on-the-field action to happen.
In the same vein, speaking of today's weather conditions, the forecast through the day does not predict heavy rains for May 29, but the possibility of a downpour are still on the cards which can cast uncertainty on whether we will get to witness a 20-over game. Interestingly enough, even on Sunday, the weather forecast suggested a positive report for the game but in vain. Now, the big question which pops up in the minds of the fans, experts and match officials alike, is what will happen if the 'Reserve Day' also gets washed out?
To cut the curiosity, in that case, owing to the table toppers in the league stage, the hosts Gujarat Titans will get to lift the IPL 2023 title as they won ten games out of the 14 played during the season while Chennai Super Kings remained three points behind to settle for the second spot.
