England and Pakistan are set to clash in the 11th warm-up match of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Brisbane Cricket Ground on Monday (October 17). England have emerged as favorites for the upcoming mega tournament after their impressive T20I series wins against England and Australia away. England managed to overcome Pakistan's challenge in a seven-match series in the absence of their key players, including Jos Buttler, to record a 3-4 win.

England continued that momentum in their latest T20I series against Australia with a dominant 2-0 series win. They were also in firm position to win the third game but match was abandoned due to rain. Star batting all-rounder Liam Livingstone was not risked against Australia due to his recent recovery from the injury but is fit to play the warm-up games.

Pakistan, after a disappointing loss against England at home, won the recent T20I Tri-Series in New Zealand, winning four out of five games. They beat Kiwis in the final game with a successful 164-run chase, which can prove a big boost to their preparation for the World Cup. Both Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Afridi are declared fit to play both warm-up games and are likely to play against England in this fixture.
