Zimbabwe (ZIM) will host Bangladesh (BAN) in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Harare Sports Club on Wednesday, July 15. The hosts come off a 2-1 win in the ODI series.
Zimbabwe have been clinical with both bat and ball in the games they have won and will look to continue their form into the T20I leg of the series as well. This is their first T20I assignment since their impressive T20 World Cup campaign in the early part of the year, where they made the Super 8s after qualifying in dramatic fashion by beating Australia.
Bangladesh will be looking to salvage something from this series after losing the ODI series and the one-off Test match. Their last T20 series was the 3-0 whitewash at the hands of Australia, and they will be looking to put up a better showing. They will be without their skipper, Litton Das, who has joined the Lankan Premier League.

Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo: Pitch Report
The Queen's Sports Club ground in Bulawayo is set to offer a more sporting wicket than the one in Harare, where the ODI series was played. The pitch in Bulawayo offers more consistent bounce and carry, with batters being able to play shots on the up. Seamers can get lateral movement, ent but their hit-the-deck bowling could see lesser impacts. Spinners are not expected to receive much help off the surface.

ZIM vs BAN: Probable Best Performers of the Match
Probable Best Batter: Brian Bennett
Brian Bennett has been one of Zimbabwe's best T20I batters in the recent past. He was one of the top-scorers in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup in the early part of the year, scoring 292 runs in seven matches. Zimbabwe will be looking to their main man to help kick off the series on a high.
Probable Best Bowler: Blessing Muzarabani
Blessing Muzarabani could be the key bowler in this clash. He has become Zimbabwe's frontline bowler and was impressive in the T20 World Cup, where the team made it out of the group stages and beat Australia in dramatic fashion. His tall release, hit-the-deck abilities and high pace could trouble the Bangladesh batters.
