'You're going to win and lose matches, believe in yourself and your teammates' - Ajinkya Rahane's message ahead of SRH clash

Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) star batter Ajinkya Rahane opened up about the significance of staying positive ahead of their IPL 2024 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The high-octane clash will be contested at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 5.

In a recent video posted on CSK's official social media handle, Rahane emphasised the importance of self-belief and trust in their teammates. The 35-year-old stressed the team's commitment to gradual improvement, aiming to enhance their performance in each game. Reflecting on their defeat against Delhi Capitals, he expressed hopefulness about applying lessons learned and striving for success in Hyderabad.

"In this journey, you're going to win matches, you're going to lose matches. The important thing is to believe as an individual and also in your teammates. It's also important to be positive. In every game, you tend to learn different things. As a team, if we can improve one percent in every game, that's what matters. As a team, we are really confident, and not thinking too much Vizag game. Obviously learning from it and coming here in Hyderabad and looking forward to this game," Rahane said.

CSK sets sights on victory against SRH in Hyderabad

CSK, the reigning champions, have begun their IPL 2024 journey impressively, claiming victories in their first two matches against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, respectively. However, their momentum faltered in the clash against Delhi Capitals, resulting in a 20-run loss in Vizag. Led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, the team currently holds the third position in the IPL 2024 standings, with four points.
