The young Arshdeep Singh has been phenomenal for team India in the ongoing T20 World Cup. The left-arm seamer may have conceded runs in a few matches but was top-notch most of the times. In the Super 12, the 23-year-old clinched ten wickets and gave India the right push in the absence of experienced Jasprit Bumrah.

Former India international Nikhil Chopra is left impressed with the talented youngster and termed him the Sultan of Swing". Just before India’s match against Zimbabwe at Adelaide, the 48-year-old elucidated his strengths and called him the hero of the tournament.

“See, he now became the Sultan of Swing. He can swing the ball both ways. He can bowl inswingers to right-handers - which eventually is his normal action but bowling outswingers to right-handed batters is a sign of a top-quality bowler. That is the reason why he’s so dangerous with the new ball and picks so many wickets," said the former cricketer on BatBricks7 presents Run Ki Runneeti show on CricTracker.

"Arshdeep for me is the hero of this world cup. It is a huge moment for a young player and he took full advantage of the opportunity he got. Credit goes to him and you can actually call him the new Sultan of swing,” he added.
