Bangladesh's Al-Amin gets relief in maintenance case filed by his wife
According to the case, Al-Amin was not providing the family with the necessary maintenance.

Bangladeshi cricket team pacer Al-Amin Hossain has secured bail after surrendering in front of the court in a maintenance case filed by his wife, Ishrat Jahan. He was granted bail upon signing a bond of Taka 5,000. The Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin granted him bail up until October 6 after the end of proceedings in the hearing on September 27.
The Bangladeshi International cricketer got married to Ishrat Jahan in 2012 and has two school-going kids with her. But Ishrat Jahan filed a complaint in Mirpur Model Thana on August 1 alleging that Al-Amin tortured and physically abused her for dowry. And according to the complaint filed by Ishrat, the cricketer had abandoned the family for the past two years and wasn't paying for the family's necessary requirements either.
Moreover, according to the complaint, Al-Amin admitted to having an affair and refused to live with his wife. His wife had filed the complaint desiring a remedy and to live peacefully and demanded payment of her children's regular expenses from their father. Earlier, The Police rescued the victim along with her two children upon receiving information from National Helpline number 999 on September 1.
In the aftermath of the arrest, Al-Amin was granted an eight-week anticipatory bail by the High Court. Ishrat filed another case against the cricketer the very next day, seeking financial aid for the maintenance of their children. The court issued a warrant against him asking him to be present before the court on the day.
Al Amin broke into the national team in 2013 after a string of impressive outings in the domestic circuit. The right arm quick was touted as the successor of Mashrafe Mortaza. His moment of glory came in the ODI series against the Windies in 2014, where he finished as the leading wicket-taker. He has represented the Bangla Tigers on 46 occasions in the shorter formats of the game, scalping 65 wickets in total. His last appearance for Bangladesh came in 2020 against Zimbabwe in Mirpur.
