The Chattogram Challengers have roped in promising Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023 in a direct signing. The ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League is scheduled to be played from January 5 to February 16, 2023. The annual BPL draft that took place on November 23 saw many players being drafted to other teams.

The main reason behind the Challengers bringing Dahani onboard was due to his outstanding bowling performances in the last season’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) where he was best bowler of Multan Sultans, registering 17 wickets from 11 matches at an economy of 9.33 and an average of 19.76. He finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker of the competition.

"He got the award for outstanding performance wearing the national team jersey. After that, he played more outstandingly. After the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup mission, Dahani's address is Chattogram Challengers. Welcome Shahnawaz Dahani. Welcome to the Challengers family.”
