Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan flew to Bangladesh on Saturday, January 14 one hour prior to the commencement of the Bangladesh Premier League fixture between his side Comilla Victorians and Fortune Barishal.

Rizwan was just a day earlier, playing in the third game of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand. The hosts lost the game to the visitors by two wickets and thereby conceded the series 1-2. Rizwan has been signed by Victorians, who are the three-time champions.

Although, Rizwan couldn't make the most of the opportunity against Barishal as he scored 18 runs and Victorians lost the game by 12 runs.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 3rd ODI

Mohammad Rizwan had a fair outing with the bat in the ODI series versus New Zealand. He amassed 182 runs at an average of 91. His highest score was an unbeaten 77, which came in the first ODI. He struck two half centuries in the entire series.

New Zealand clinched the three-match series 2-1 after beating Pakistan in the third and final ODI at the National Stadium in Karachi. The third ODI was the decider, with the series tantalisingly poised at 1-1. Pakistan captain Babar Azam had won the toss in the game and opted to bat against New Zealand.

Fakhar Zaman scored his eighth century, while Mohammad Rizwan scored a steady half-century as Pakistan posted a total of 280/9 in the third ODI in Karachi. Fakhar slammed a brilliant 101, while Rizwan chipped in with a valuable 77 after Pakistan had lost early wickets.

Chasing a target of 281, New Zealand crossed the finishing line with 11 balls to spare. Glenn Phillips starred with an unbeaten 63 while captain Kane Williamson (53) and Devon Conway (52) also hit half-centuries at the top of the order.
