South Africa Women, set to contest the three T20Is in the concluding leg of their India tour at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, will undergo revitalization following the return of Chloe Tryon to the roster. She has been officially confirmed to have recuperated from a back injury that had sidelined her since April this year, with her final appearance being in the second T20I of the three-match series against Sri Lanka Women.
Interim head coach of South Africa Women, Dillon du Preez, expressed anticipation for Tryon's return to competitive cricket, noting the significant experience she would bring to the table. He also emphasized that the upcoming three T20Is against India would allow them to assess one or two proxies before returning to South Africa to commence their final preparations for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh later this year.
"She [Tryon] brings a lot of experience to the team and we can't wait to see her back on the field. We have our last three T20I matches against India. This will give us some time to look at one or two options before we go home and start our final preparation for the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh," stated du Preez, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
