Saint Lucia Kings' pacer Oshane Thomas had a forgettable outing against Guyana Amazon Warriors in match No. 13 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 on Wednesday, August 27, at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.

Guyana won the toss and opted to bat first on Wednesday. They were in a spot of bother at the end of the 14th over as they lost half their side with only 95 runs on the board. However, Thomas' abysmal bowling in the 15th over helped Guyana get some momentum into their innings.

The first two balls went for four runs from the right-arm speedster. He bowled a front-foot no-ball off the following delivery and a wide off the subsequent one. The next delivery was another front-foot-no-ball, and Romario Shepherd launched it for a six over deep mid-wicket. Thomas was looking dejected and out of sorts. He bowled another front-foot-no-ball, and this time, Shepherd deposited it for a six on the roof at deep square-leg. The 28-year-old finally bowled a legitimate delivery, which was hit over the roof at deep square-leg by the West Indies all-rounder.

The over ended with a six from Iftikhar Ahmed as Thomas conceded 33 runs. Thomas, who had picked up the wicket of Shai Hope earlier in the innings, eventually finished his spell with figures of 1/63 in four overs. He bowled a much better last over, conceding just 12 runs.

Guyana amassed 202/6 in their 20 overs, with Shepherd top-scoring with an unbeaten 73 off 34 balls. However, this didn't turn out to be a sufficient score on a flat deck.

Ackeem Auguste played a blinder of an innings as his 73 off 35 balls helped the Kings chase down the 203-run target in just 18.1 overs, with four wickets to spare.
