In a major development for 29-year-old KC Cariappa, the bowler has reportedly filed a police complaint against his ex-girlfriend, according to the Times of India. Alleging that she threatened to end his cricket career, Cariappa had no choice but to go to the police.
Furthermore, she reportedly also warned his family members, including his father, mother, and elder brother, that there would be consequences as per the complaint, which comes a year after his ex-girlfriend filed a report against the 29-year-old.
Cariappa told the Bagalagunte police on Friday, December 22, that he befriended a woman from Kodagu, claiming that the pair fell in love but he had to end the relationship due to the woman being a "drug addict, alcoholic, and promiscuous.”
It is worth noting that on December 31, 2022, Cariappa’s ex-girlfriend filed a complaint against him, claiming he had gotten her pregnant and had forcibly fed her abortion tablets in September of the same year.
Furthermore, the woman told the Times of India that the 29-year-old convinced her not to press a case, saying that he would marry her. However, the report that Cariappa filed stated that he tried to convince her to quit alcohol, but due to her not listening to him, he had to break up.
He also alleged that she threatened to end his cricket career by naming him in her suicide note. She was also unaware of the report filed against her by Cariappa but opined that she would be fighting back, and she even filed a complaint against him on Saturday.
