Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to touch yet another milestone as the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper will be playing his 100th IPL (Indian Premier League) game for the franchise. Hardik’s 100th game for MI will come against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, with both sides locking horns in the 38th game, on Monday, April 22.
Pandya has been a stalwart for Mumbai Indians over the years. The ace all-rounder joined the side once again after coming in through a trade deal from Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL 2024 season. In the 99 games that Hardik has played for Mumbai Indians, the 30-year-old has managed to amass 1617 runs to his name, averaging a score of 37.86 runs and a strike rate of 133.49.
Furthermore, with the ball, Pandya has taken 36 wickets for Mumbai Indians. The ongoing IPL 2024 has been an underwhelming one for Hardik Pandya. In the seven matches that he has played for MI so far, Pandya has four wickets to his name and has scored 141 runs as a batter while averaging 23.5.
Mumbai Indians look to topple high flying Rajasthan Royals
Speaking about the upcoming clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, both sides will aim to put in their best performances and register a victory. The situation seems to be much more desperate for MI as compared to RR, as the five-time champions currently find themselves in seventh place in the standings with six points to their names in seven matches.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are in brilliant form in the IPL 2024, with just one loss in seven games, RR sit at the helm of the points table with 12 points to their names. With the playoffs almost secured, the Sanju Samson-led side will aim to register their second win of the season against MI and book their berth in the IPL playoffs. Recently, both sides met at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where Rajasthan emerged victorious. However, MI seem to have picked up form since then, and the side will aim to put in an improved performance.
