Ace Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah showcased his prowess on Day 2 of the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam, claiming his tenth five-wicket haul in the longest format of the game. He has found some reverse swing and finished with excellent figures of 6/45 as India bundled out the tourists by 253 in their first innings.

Speaking about his performance, the fast bowler stated that he had worked hard from a very young age to play reverse swing in the field. The 30-year-old added that reverse swing plays a huge role in Indian soil and expressed his happiness on getting wickets through that way.

"As a child I have grown up watching reverse swing set-ups and legends bowling magical deliveries. That is something that really inspired me. So when I came into serious cricket, I learned how do you set up a batter and how do you use your strengths. I used to see this as a kid and now I am able to do it so really happy with that," Bumrah said in a video posted by the BCCI after Day 2 stumps.

"When you play in India, reverse swing plays an important role. Being born in this country, we learn the art of reverse swing in domestic cricket and can use it to our advantage. So very happy when you get wickets through reverse swing, no better feeling," he added.

Bumrah further spoke about how he set up the England batters during the second innings of the second Test. Notably, he bowled a ripper of a delivery to shake Ollie Pope's stumps. He stated that after they lost the wicket of Pope, England were expecting an inswinger which helped him in the later stages of the innings.

"After that Pope delivery, I had an idea that they might be keeping an eye on inswingers. The outside edge then comes into play. The ball was maintained really well and when they edged it, it did carry," he further said.
