Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to bat first to give Pat Cummins something to think about in the match 41 of the Indian Premier League 2024. The home team are looking to win the game and go to the 2nd spot on the table and also knock out RCB from the prized tournament.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru went in with the same team that had lost to KKR by 1 run. Sunrisers Hyderabad on the other hand brought in Jaydev Unadkat for Washington Sundar as the only change from the previous game versus Delhi Capitals.

RCB: 50 runs off 4.2 overs
Sunrisers Hyderabad were given taste of their own medicine when the RCB openers gave a blistering start. Just when it seemed that the game was going away from his grasp, Pat Cummins got T Natarajan who dismissed Faf Du Plessis for 25.
Powerplay: RCB - 61/1 (6 overs)
After getting a good start, the wicket of Faf Du Plessis seemed to have pegged back the RCB batters. Virat Kohli played a few food shots to show what good form he has been in, as the RCB batters would want to put a huge score on the board.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: First Strategic time-out (84/2 from 9 overs)
The introduction of spin seemed to slow down the frenetic scoring from the RCB batting unit. Shahbaz Ahmed got the big wicket of Will Jacks as he was bowled just six runs. Rajat Patidar began well as he hit a few crisp shots to set the tone.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 100 runs from 10.2 overs
Once the break was over, Rajat Patidar went on the offensive. Mayank Markande was hit for four sixes in four balls as RCB signalled their intentions to the SRH bowlers.
Half-Century: Rajat Patidar from 19 balls
RCB fans were happy to see Rajat Patidar get back to his best. The last few games has seen the 30-year-old show glimpses of his old form with the bat as he struck his 5th IPL fifty.
Virat Kohli: Half-century off 37 balls
The former RCB skipper Virat Kohli has been the only batter who has been consistent during the IPL 2024 season. The 35-year-old began with his trademark wristy shots before settling down to score his 53rd fifty in the tournament.

RCB: Second Strategic Timeout (136/3 from 14 overs)
The capacity crowd in Hyderabad saw Rajat Patidar flay the bowlers to all parts of the stadium. Jaydev Unadkat who is playing his 100th game in the IPL got the wicket before Virat Kohli was joined by Cameron Green.
RCB: 150 runs from 15.4 overs
Jaydev Unadkat dealt RCB a huge blow when he had Virat Kohli caught by Abdul Samad for 51 with a slower bouncer. Cameron Green hit Pat Cummins for two fours to take the score past 150 with 4 fours overs left to play.
RCB: 200 runs from 18.1 overs
Swapnil Singh who came in as the Impact player hit T Natarajan for a huge six to reach the 200 on the first ball of the 19th over. This was Bengaluru's third consecutive 200+ total in the ongoing season.
End of the innings: Final score - RCB: 206/7 (20 overs)
Bowling for the first time, SRH seemed to have lost the plot with the ball early. Unadkat though brought the home team back into the game with a brilliant spell (3/30 from 4 overs).
