RCB languishing at the bottom of the points table
Interestingly, Cummins took Kohli's wicket in the final of the ODI World Cup in 2023, when India faced Australia in Ahmedabad. Cummins bowled a short-pitched delivery that knocked Kohli's bat and crashed on his stumps.
While RCB finds themselves struggling at the bottom of the table with just one win in eight matches, SRH, under Cummins' leadership, has been high with confidence, currently positioned in third place in the points table with five wins from seven matches.
Both sides will be playing for the second time this season. In their first clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, SRH recorded the highest-ever total in the history of IPL, scoring 287/3. The home team did come close to the target but was 25 runs short and lost the game.
