Sunrisers will be playing their third match at home, while this will be the fifth match on the road for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

In the ongoing tournament, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have won five matches and lost two matches. They are currently in third place in the points table. Thus, the Sunrisers would like to continue their winning momentum.

On the other hand, the Royal Challengers have started the season slowly. They have won just one match and lost seven matches so far. They are currently bottom on the points table. The Bengaluru-based franchise will badly want to win to gain momentum and keep its hopes alive to move to the next stage.

These two teams' last meeting was in match 30 of the IPL 2024 at Bengaluru, where the Sunrisers posted a huge total of 287 which is the highest total in the history of IPL courtesy of magnificent innings from Travis Head 102 (41smashed his first IPL ton and fabulous knock of Heinrich Klaasen 67(31) and superb finishing from Abdul Samad 37(10).

In response, Royal Challengers posted 262 which was the highest total in the second innings history of IPL courtesy of magnificent innings from Dinesh Karthik 83(35). Skipper Pat Cummins (4-0-43-3) bowled beautifully in the high-scoring game which helped Sunrisers to defend the target. SRH vs RCB Strategies & Match-ups:

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is expected to roll out a full-fledged flat surface which the batters will enjoy. So the strategy is simple, the batters should wreak havoc, especially when batting first. The bowlers are not expected to have a very good day, and hence the onus falls on the batting to deliver performances that could boost the chance of winning. Important match-ups for this game are Heinrich Klaasen vs Mohammed Siraj, Travis Head vs Lockie Ferguson, Virat Kohli vs Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Faf Du Plessis vs Pat Cummins respectively.

Heinrich Klaasen vs Mohammed Siraj:

In the two innings that these two have come across each other, Klaasen has scored just 28 runs in just 14 balls against Siraj. He has also been dismissed once in this period. This matchup will play a crucial role in the middle and death overs during SRH's innings.

Virat Kohli vs Bhuvaneshwar Kumar:

Veteran swing king Bhuvneshwar Kumar is currently going through a torrid time in IPL 2024 picking up just four wickets from seven matches with an average of 71. X-Factors for SRH vs RCB:

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

It is hard to miss the batting prowess contained all through SRH's batting line-up, but the man most in form and most dangerous Travis Head is still a huge threat for any bowling lineup and will be key on an especially flat surface. Travis Head is in magnificent form in the ongoing tournament who scored 324 runs in just six matches with an average of 54.0 and a fantastic strike rate of 216.0. Challengers will vary in his consistency and hitting ability.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru:

Virat Kohli got off to a great start in this tournament and is the leading run scorer so far. He will be eager to get going on Thursday, and if he does, he will likely be the difference between the two sides. Virat Kohli scored 379 runs in eight matches with an average of 63.16 and a healthy Strike rate of 150.39. Sunrisers will vary in their consistency.
