Rajasthan Royals made it to Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2024 with a sensational win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator. The Sanju Samson-led side will now take on Sunrisers Hyderabad, who will come to MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai with a defeat on their back. They suffered a humiliating eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders and would be gunning to return to the winning ways to make it to the final.
The two teams faced each other once in the league stage, in which Hyderabad won by just one run. That defeat opened the floodgates for Rajasthan, as they went on to have a losing streak of four matches. It derailed their momentum but the side managed to bounce back against Bengaluru, winning the match by four wickets. Shimron Hetmyer’s return to the playing XI is a massive boost for the side, especially when Jos Buttler returned to England for international duty.

Bowling looks sorted with Ravichandran Ashwin in good form while Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal have done a good job as well. Overall, they would be confident of getting the job done but it won’t be a cakewalk. Hyderabad would be determined to bounce back and will play an aggressive brand of cricket. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma’s form will be vital but it’s high time that the middle order steps up. Rahul Tripathi looked good in the last match and he will hope to repeat the same.
Weather Forecast and Pitch Report
The good news is that the match won’t be interrupted due to rain. It will be a hot day, with the temperature varying from 29 degrees to 36 and as per AccuWeather, the wind will gust around 39 km/h in the evening. There will be a lot of dew.

When it comes to the surface, it will be batting-friendly. The surfaces no longer assist the spinners but they can play a key role in the middle over. However, a lot of runs are expected to be scored and bowling first will be ideal.
