Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders were expected to cross swords in the Match No. 58 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was all set to host this important match. However, excessive rains caused the match to be abandoned without even toss happening.

The game, eventually, washed out, with both the teams sharing a point each. While RCB solidified their chances for the play-offs, it is the defending champions KKR who have now been eliminated from the qualification race by becoming the fourth team to be knocked out this season. The Chinnaswamy fans had come full-prepared for the game in white jerseys as a tribute to Virat Kohli's first professional match since his Test retirement. However, they could not get a glimpse of their favourite Kohli take the field. Now, another question that now arises is whether RCB will provide a refund for those who held a ticket for this fixture.

Will the fans get refund?

Yes. RCB has officially provided an update for those wondering if they will get a full refund for their ticket. Any taxes or convenience fee paid to secure the tickets, whether digitally or offline, may not be reversed, and only the face value of the ticket price will be refunded.

"As the game between RCB and KKR on 17th May 2025 was abandoned due to inclement weather, all valid ticket holders are eligible for a full refund," the franchise said in a statement via its social media handles on Sunday, May 18.

What is the refund process for Digital/Online ticket holders?

Online or digital ticket holders are to receive the refund for their tickets on or by May 31, 2025. In case they do not receive the refund, they will have to email the official ticket provider (refund@ticketgenie.in) in order to make a claim.

What is the refund process for Physical/Offline ticket holders?

As per the same release, those who bear a physical ticket will need to collect their refund from the same places where they sourced it from. Those who had complimentary passes for the game will not be entitled to any refund whatsoever, RCB further clarified.
