Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav completed a well-compiled fifty with the bat against South Africa in a T20 World Cup game on Sunday. While the rest of the Indian batting line-up struggled against the Proteas bowling line-up, Suryakumar completely thrashed the South African bowling attack in middle.
Meanwhile, the former New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming has said that it's tough to trouble Yadav due to his 'open and aggressive stance.' He also emphasized the fact that it is very difficult to find an area of weakness in Suryakumar's batting.
He's sort of created a technique which bowlers are finding it hard to find the right lengths: Fleming on Suryakumar
"It's difficult to find an area of weakness," Fleming was quoted as saying on the ESPNcricinfo show.
"He just has a really positive mindset. And he has a very open and aggressive stance which allows him to play in a lot of unusual areas. So he's sort of created a technique which bowlers are finding it hard to find the right lengths [against] because if they're full he'll hit all the way over cover or around; if they're fractionally short he'll go over third man and point," he stated.
"And anything straight, he's very good with the short ball. So he's developed a technique that's very hard to find an area of weakness [in]," Fleming added.
Meanwhile, the Men in Blue will now take on Bangladesh in their next group-stage encounter of the T20 World Cup. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul who could not get going against the Proteas bowling line-up will be keen to make an impact with the bat against Bangladesh.
The encounter will be played at the Adelaide Oval on November 2 (Wednesday). Team India will look to come on the top against its Asian counterpart and complete a thumping victory before moving forward ahead in the competition.
