KCA unveils logo of Kerala Cricket League's debut season
Apart from the league logo, the logos of the individual franchises were also revealed.

Kerala will see its first state-based league in the form of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) and the logo for the same was unveiled by the Kerala Cricketer Association (KCA) on August 9. The India wicket-keeper batter, Sanju Samson, who hails from Kerala unveiled the logo in a ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram.
Samson is also named as the icon for the KCL and the matches of the tournament will be held at the Greenfield International Stadium from September 2 to 19. The league will see a total of 168 players entering auctions and each franchise will have 20 players to draft in their player pantheon. Apart from the league logo, the logos of the individual franchises were also revealed.
"The player auction for the Kerala Cricket League is scheduled for Saturday, at the Hyatt Regency, starting at 10 AM. The auction briefing was conducted by the renowned Charu Sharma, followed by a mock auction to familiarize the franchises with the process," stated KSCA as quoted by the Hindustan Times.

"Fans can look forward to two thrilling games each day, including day and night matches. The league will officially be launched by the legendary actor and KCL brand ambassador, Mohanlal, on 31st August 2024, at 12 noon at the Hyatt Regency," it added.
Player auctions will be divided into three categories
P A Abdul Basit, Sachin Baby, Mohammad Azharuddin, Basil Thambi, Vishnu Vinod, and Rohan S Kunnammal were already selected as icon players for the impending league. KCA also revealed the auction structure for the players with the players featuring in IPL and Ranji Trophy drawing a hefty base price of two lakh rupees.

"The auction will be divided into three categories: Category A: Featuring players with IPL and Ranji Trophy experience, with a base salary of ₹two lakh. Category B: Comprising C K Naidu, U-23, U-19 State, and U-19 Challengers players, with a base salary of ₹One lakh. Category C: For U-16 state players, university players, and club cricketers, with a base salary of Rs. 50,000,” the statement concluded.
