Netherland’s Logan Van Beek had the world in the palm of his hands after he propelled his side to the rapidly approaching ODI World Cup 2023. Entering the record books, Van Beek smashed 30 runs in a Super Over against the West Indies in the ODI World Cup Qualifiers.

Furthermore, he also took command during the bowling and took two wickets to win the game for Netherlands. Becoming a national hero, Van Beek’s legendary performance in the Super Over is still talked about, as he has immortalized himself with a dream showing.

Speaking of the brilliant showing in the Super Over, Van Beek recently came forward to opine that it was all a blur to him at the moment. He stated that he was just trying to amass as many runs as possible for his side during that moment.

"I have watched that game a couple of times now, and I still can’t quite work out how I hit 30 off the over. It was a bit of a blur at the time, and I guess I was in a bit of a zone, and I was just trying to get as many as we possibly could, and 30 was the magic number, and thankfully it was enough to win that match," Logan Van Beek said in an interview with Revsportz.

Virat Kohli would be maximum satisfaction: Van Beek

Furthermore, with the World Cup 2023 all set to begin on October 5, Netherlands will be keen on putting in their best performance and making their name on Indian soil. When asked about playing in front of a packed Indian crowd and whose wicket he would fancy, Logan Van Beek took the name of ace Indian batter Virat Kohli as his pick.

"I think Virat Kohli would be maximum satisfaction, I was fortunate enough to bowl to Virat, Suryakumar Yadav at the ECG last year. Thankfully, I will get a few more balls to these guys at the ODI World Cup," Van Beek said.
