The suspense regarding India's former legendary skipper MS Dhoni's next move left his passionate fans puzzled and they wondered what decision was he going to take on Sunday, September 25. Some even speculated that the veteran wicketkeeper-batter was going to announce his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL).

All the confusion happened because Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not much active on social media platforms and only uses them when he has some important announcement to make. However, all these assumptions and rumours have been laid to rest as Dhoni has announced his next venture.

MS Dhoni finally reveals his next move

Earlier taking to his Facebook, Dhoni had informed that he would be sharing some exciting news on Sunday, September 25 at 2PM IST and invited everyone to be present for the occasion.

The suspense was finally revealed as the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper is all set to feature in a new commercial to promote Oreo biscuits, a popular biscuit brand.

During the function, a journalist invited Dhoni on stage and told him that India had lifted the World Cup in 2011, when the biscuit brand was launched. Nonetheless, the Ranchi-born cricketer said that since there is a World Cup this year, he is taking the privilege to launch the brand once again.

"This year we have one more World Cup. And if the biscuit brand can launch again, then India can win the Cup again," said MS Dhoni.

"I'm bringing 2011 again because to create history, we need to recreate history," he added.

India would be hoping to put up a good show in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 that gets underway next month in Australia. The Men in Blue would love to end the nine-year long ICC title drought. The Indian team will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the iconic MCG on October 23.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni had committed ahead of CSK's IPL 2022 final fixture that he would be leading the four-time champions in the 2023 season.
