Over the years David Warner has had many heated altercations. Be it his verbal spats with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Quinton de Kock or Rohit Sharma, Warner certainly doesn't shy away from engaging in a verbal battle when he finds himself at the centre of one.

Interestingly, India's batting maestro Virat Kohli is also someone who wears his heart on his sleeve and hence keeps finding himself at the heart of an on-field kerfuffle. Recently, the former India skipper was fined 100% of his match fees for getting into a heated spat with Gautam Gambhir but very little has changed about him since then.

Talking about the reason behind sledging opponents and getting into heated arguments with opponents, David Warner revealed these things bring out the best in him and Virat Kohli. Both these cricketers love challenges and when someone tries to disturb them, they try to give it back to them not just with their mouth but also with their willow.

Your feet start moving and you play your shots: Warner

Furthermore, the Australian opener explained the effect of on-field scuffles on a player mentally. Warner believes that these incidents trigger his foot movement for the good. Moreover, this allows him to express himself more freely by playing his natural shots.

“Myself and Virat, we get energy off people talking to us or coming at us. If you're coming at us, that's the fight and we are in. It's not about proving a point to anyone. You just get in and your feet start moving and you play your shots. Then you say, 'Thanks mate, you got me in',” Warner said in the latest episode of Breakfast with Champions.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of David Warner in the ongoing IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals failed to qualify for the playoffs. The cricketer himself was very inconsistent throughout the course of the season while middle order batters were poor right from the start. The team tried various combinations to change their fortune, but nothing really worked for them.

They have definitely missed Rishabh Pant in the 16th edition of the tournament as the Southpaw used to provide them much-needed stability, which clearly missed this season. When it comes to bowling, Ishant Sharma and Axar Patel looked to be in good touch but others failed to live up to the potential. Ahead of the next edition of the tournament, Delhi is expected to go shopping once again with the hope to get some good players on board in order to compete hard next season.
