The summit clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 has been full of ups and downs, as India take on Australia in the final game of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19. One of the highlights of the game was when a pitch invader ran onto the pitch during the first innings.

In the 14th over of the first innings, a pitch invader entered the ground wearing a t-shirt with the slogan'stop bombing Palestine" and attempted to hug Virat Kohli. However, he was quickly apprehended by the officials and has now been taken to the police station.

In the video that has been making the rounds all over social media, the man stated that his name was John and he came all the way from Australia to meet Virat Kohli. Furthermore, he stated that he supported Palestine as well.

Australia continue to mount pressure on India

Speaking of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 final, things have not gone as planned for the Indian team. Batting first after losing the toss, the side got off to a good start as skipper Rohit Sharma attacked the bowlers head-on. However, the situation quickly went south when opener Shubman Gill was sent packing for just four runs. Furthermore, the party was spoiled when Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 47 runs in 31 deliveries.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played resilient knocks and tried to stabilise the innings for India. Kohli scored 54 runs in 63 deliveries. Whereas Rahul amassed 66 runs in 107 deliveries. Aiming to post a reasonable total on the board, both Rahul and Kohli played good knocks where the Australian bowling attack continued to pile on the pressure on the unbeaten Men in Blue.
