The ODI World Cup 2023 is well underway and the fans have already been treated to many memorable moments in the competition so far. The same was the case in game 21 of the tournament when India took on New Zealand, at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, on Sunday, October 22.
The Black Caps showcased a brilliant display of spirit of cricket in the 24th over of the first innings when they had a chance to take extra runs due to an overthrow. However, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell decided against it as the fans applauded the moment. The incident happened on the second ball of the 24th over, Ravindra Jadeja bowled to Rachin Ravindra, and as he cut the ball to cover point, Suryakumar Yadav did well to stop the ball.
However, his throw was not as expected. Throwing the ball, a chance for an extra run through the overthrow was presented to New Zealand. However, both batters decided against it.

Talking of both side’s performances so far, it is worth noting that both India and New Zealand are currently unbeaten in the ODI World Cup 2023. The side has taken on England, Netherlands, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan in the tournament so far and have registered brilliant wins. As the clash with India gets underway, it could be interesting to see which side gets handed its first defeat.
