Pakistan will be looking to seal the ODI series by winning the third game against New Zealand at the National Bank Arena in Karachi on Friday, January 13.
However, they suffered a huge setback as their seasoned all-rounder Haris Sohail suffered a concussion after being struck on the helmet by a vicious bouncer from Lockie Ferguson. The speedster had bowled a low bouncer in the 43rd over as Sohail misjudged the length and decided to duck at the last moment. It was a wrong move which ended up flooring the batter.

Sohail was replaced by Kamran Ghulam. Reportedly, the senior batter is experiencing pain on the side of his neck.
After he was floored by Ferguson, the all-rounder was immediately attended by the team physio who came to the field to conduct a mandatory concussion test. Sohail was given a green signal to bat, but he only lasted for two more balls before being run out by Henry Nicholls for 22 runs off 25 deliveries.
Agha Salman (45) then took care of the proceedings in the death overs and ensured that Pakistan ended up posting a competitive total on the board despite wickets falling cheaply at the other end. Courtesy of his impressive knock, the hosts succeeded in posting 280/9 on the board.
Earlier, Fakhar Zaman roared back to form with a spectacular century as he scored 101 runs off 122 balls. He was also involved in a crucial 154-run stand for the third wicket with Mohammad Rizwan, who scored a 74-ball 77.
