In a startling revelation, former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has dropped a bombshell, disclosing that cricketers have gone without their dues for the past five months. Recent whispers from the dressing room hinted at a palpable lack of camaraderie, signaling a significant divide among team members. The Pakistan Cricket Board was compelled to issue an official statement quashing these speculations. However, a recent report from a Pakistani media source now indicates that players have been disheartened by the board's insufficient support over the last 15 days.

Latif disclosed that Pakistan players face an unsettling situation as their central contracts, initially agreed upon after a prolonged standoff with the PCB, are now under reconsideration. Players are disgruntled by the board's failure to shield them from criticism and are disheartened by the board's official statements. Latif's revelations have only intensified the prevailing turmoil within the cricketing fraternity.

Babar Azam has been trying to contact the chairman, but they are not responding: Rashid Latif

Latif revealed that Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been reaching out to PCB officials, including chairman Zaka Ashraf, since Wednesday, but his messages have gone unanswered. This frustration stems from the fact that players have been deprived of their salaries for the past five months. Significantly, the statement indicates that any potential alteration in captaincy will be contemplated post the World Cup, undermining Babar's leadership position.

"In the Pakistani media, many things are happening. Perhaps they are false news. I will provide you with the true news, which was kept on hold. Babar Azam has been trying to contact the chairman for the past two days, but they are not responding. He is messaging Salman Naseer (Chief Operating Officer), and he is messaging Usman Walha (Director of International Cricket),” he added.
