They looked firm in wanting Mayank Dagar as they let go of their rising star Shahbaz Ahmed. But, it would be interesting to see if he finds a place in the starting XI. They were also pretty clear as they spent a huge chunk on Australian sensation Cameron Green which made a fairly quiet deadline day afternoon into a dramatic night. 

Coming to Dubai, RCB would have circled a foreign pacer, an Indian pacer and a spinner from their shopping list. With a 23.25 cr purse, they broke the bank for Alzarri Joseph, triggering a bidding war between Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. 

With Mohammed Siraj, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Akash Deep, and Rajan Kumar already in the squad, they splurged INR five crore on Yash Dayal to bring him to the M Chinnaswamy adding depth to their Indian fast bowling arsenal. The Bengaluru unit acquired the services of Tom Curran (1.5 Cr), Lockie Ferguson (2 Cr), Swapnil Singh (20 lakh), and Sourav Chauhan (20 lakh) to end their light shopping spree in Dubai. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore's bowling department wears a slim outlook considering the short dimensions of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium where RCB play seven of their 14 games. In a nutshell, a batting-heavy RCB are about to get into a crucial pressure test to defy a lot of odds stacked against them in the upcoming 17th edition of the IPL. 

While it is too early to call how Royal Challengers Bangalore will fare, one thing remains clear - Bengaluru with Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Cameron Green surely will be ready for a brutal yet beautiful fight.
