Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has left the country to migrate to the United Kingdom. According to reports, the wicketkeeper-batter was uncertain about his future in the national team and hence decided to leave the country. The reports further suggest that Ahmed is keen to maintain his connection with Pakistan cricket and will participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 to represent Quetta Gladiators.

The 36-year-old was a part of the recent three-match Test series against Australia and played in the first Test in Perth. However, he didn’t have a memorable time with the bat scoring just seven runs in the game. As a result, he was replaced by Mohammad Rizwan in the second and third Test who went on to finish as the leading run-scorer of the series for Pakistan with 193 runs from four innings at an average of 48.25 with one fifty to his name.
